23 March 2023

Salò is a city that offers its visitors not only the charm of the lake, but also a rich cultural programme. The month of April 2023 presents a series of unmissable events for lovers of art, history and nature.

- On Sunday, 2 April, the 3rd Historic Cultural Event, organised by Emmeci Eventi, will feature a gathering of 20th century saloon and family cars. A unique opportunity to admire the cars that have made Italian and international motoring history, from Fiat to Alfa Romeo, from Lancia to Mercedes. The rally will start at 8.30 a.m. from Salò and will drive along the roads of Lake Garda, until it reaches the Nicolis Museum in Villafranca di Verona, where it will be possible to visit the collection of vintage cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
- On Friday, 7 April, Mu.Sa., the Salò Museum, will reopen to the public after its winter closure. The museum houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history and culture of the city and the Garda area, from the Middle Ages to the 20th century, with works of art, documents and testimonies. The museum will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm.
- On Friday 14 April, the first evening of the cycle 'Travel Diary - An open window on the world to share beauty and knowledge', promoted by the Due Pini Cultural Association, will be held. These are meetings in which speakers recount their experiences of travelling to distant and fascinating places, accompanied by images and music. The first evening will be dedicated to Japan, with the participation of Marco Zanetti, photographer and traveller. The appointment is at 8.30 p.m. in the conference room of the Due Pini Social Centre.
- On Saturday, 15 April, the Società Mutuo Soccorso Artigiana Operaia di Salò will celebrate its day of recognising members who have reached 25 and 50 years of membership. The ceremony will take place at 3.45 p.m. in the Sala Provveditori of the Palazzo Municipale, in the presence of civil and religious authorities. The Società Mutuo Soccorso Artigiana Operaia di Salò is one of the oldest associations in the Garda area, founded in 1878 with the aim of providing health and social assistance to workers.
- On Friday 28 April, Salò will host the 'Civicamente' event, an institutional civic project of socio-educational training aimed at students of high schools in the province of Brescia. The initiative is promoted by the Unione Nazionale Sottoufficiali Italiani (National Union of Italian Non-Commissioned Officers) and includes a series of activities aimed at making young people aware of the values of active citizenship, legality, and solidarity. The event will start at 9.15 a.m. from Piazza Vittoria, where the flag-hoisting and the intervention of the authorities will take place. Following this, the students will move to Piazza Serenissima, where they will be able to visit the information gazebos of local associations and attend practical demonstrations by the military and civil corps.
- From 27 April to 1 May, the botanical exhibition 'I Giardini del Garda' will be held along the lakeside promenade in Salò. This is a showcase of the gardesan territory's floricultural excellences, with an exhibition and sale of plants, flowers, and typical products. The exhibition will be open from 10 am.
