Malcesine at the top for services aimed at people with disabilities: confirmed the Lilac Flag

The municipality of Malcesine has been awarded, for the second time in a row, the Lilac Flag, a national recognition assigned to territories that stand out for their concrete commitment to tourism accessibility and inclusion. The confirmation came following the territorial analysis conducted by president Roberto Bazzano, who positively assessed the actions promoted by the municipal administration to guarantee services and facilities accessible to all. 
‘It is with satisfaction and pride that we welcome the confirmation of the Lilac Flag for our municipality,’ said Deputy Mayor Antonella Zamboni, "an award that rewards the entire community of Malcesine for its commitment to making the town increasingly welcoming and supportive. We will continue to work to further improve services and guarantee equal opportunities for all, while respecting the values of inclusiveness and participation'.

The President of Bandiera Lilla, Roberto Bazzano, then commented: 'We are pleased to see how accessibility, accessible design and attention to inclusion have become a constant in the Municipality of Malcesine. In particular, we appreciate how this attention concerns not only motor disabilities, which usually take the lead with the removal of architectural barriers, but also other disabilities, including visual and hearing disabilities, thanks also to the use of augmented reality technologies that allow people to visit places and buildings that are physically inaccessible".
