The Bee-Book on three wheels arrives in Salò

It has finally arrived. A delightful all-orange Apecar will be the new travelling service wanted by the Salò library. 
It is called Bee-library on three wheels and will go around the streets of the town, the hamlets and in front of schools. It is a proximity service that will cater for families or elderly people who, for various reasons, cannot easily reach the library or who live far from the library, enabling them to borrow books. 
Reading is exploring and is good for the heart and the mind. A book is a gift, whatever subject it deals with. It speaks to us, it whispers to us, it sometimes shouts at us, it teaches us, it explains us, it makes us smile, it makes us curious, but certainly a book brings many benefits. People read for different reasons: some read for passion and pleasure, others for personal interest, others for school, work or professional growth. People read at any age and the youngest 'read' through picture books that they leaf through with grandparents or parents. Whatever the motivation, reading is an intense experience, a true enrichment that allows us both to exercise our memory and to learn, to deepen, to cultivate interests and emotions. 
The Bee-book on three wheels is therefore a nice and functional means of bringing us closer to reading. We expect to see it travelling around the territory and it will be recognisable to everyone with its unmistakable orange colour. In addition, it has drawn a funny bee on its sides, complete with biker glasses, which will 'fly' from place to place offering us its most delicious nectar: books. 
The Apecar was also purchased thanks to Cariplo funding for the Fuori Salòtto Project - New Audience and More Readers for the Library - Salòtto della cultura.
