On 10 December, the event also known as the Father Christmas Race will take place. It will involve the municipalities of Garda, Bardolino and Lazise, which together account for more than 50 per cent of the lake's tourist presences and will support the initiative by guaranteeing the presence of policemen, security barriers, refreshment gazebos and parking spaces.
Password: everyone can participate! Athletes and non-athletes, young and old, the route is on barrier-free pedestrian streets and it does not matter how you cross the finish line, whether it is by running or taking a walk enjoying the scenery. And why not, even visit the Christmas markets of the three municipalities in one day.
The proceeds from the registrations (€15 fee including Father Christmas outfit, numbered bib, race pack and refreshments) will be donated to a local charity supporting a local organisation.
Experiencing the lake even in winter, visiting and enhancing it also on these occasions helps to deseasonalise the tourist offer and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere right on the shores of the enchanting Lake Garda.
