A single digital pass allowing tourists to access some of the most fascinating cultural sites in the Garda, Monte Baldo and western Verona areas is about to launch.
Called the Garda Veneto Guest Card, the new initiative is promoted by Destination Verona & Garda Foundation (DVG) and developed in partnership with ATV – Azienda Trasporti Verona. The project was presented at the Verona Chamber of Commerce by Foundation President Paolo Artelio, ATV Managing Director Massimo Bettarello, and Ivan De Beni and Maurizio Russo, respectively Presidents of Federalberghi Garda Veneto and Federalberghi Confcommercio Verona.
At present, around ten attractions are included in the card, which is sold together with ATV transport passes. These range from the castles of Villafranca, Valeggio, Torri and Malcesine to the Garda Territorial Museum, the Olive Oil Museum and the Sisan Museum in Cisano, as well as the Novezzina Botanical Garden on Monte Baldo, the Fishing Museum in Cassone and the Ossuary of Custoza. Additional attractions may be added in the future.
The aim of the digital card is to connect cultural attractions, museums, nature trails and local points of excellence throughout the Verona area with the province’s public transport network. In this way, visitors will be encouraged to discover lesser-known destinations rich in history, culture and traditions, while promoting more sustainable mobility and reducing reliance on private cars.
The Garda Veneto Guest Card, based on a QR code, will be available for purchase online through DVG channels and at tourist information offices managed by the Foundation. Starting on Wednesday, July 1, it will be offered in three-day and seven-day versions, granting access to a range of attractions and services through a single digital pass.
The system has been designed to integrate with ATV’s mobility services. Transport passes can be purchased together with the card, allowing unlimited travel across the entire ATV bus network for the validity period of the card. Existing ATV benefits are incorporated into the Guest Card, including discounts on the Monte Baldo Cable Car, major Navigarda ferry routes and other local experiences.
The three-day card costs €15 (€33 including public transport), while the seven-day card costs €18 (€54 including public transport).
“This card is not merely a tool for accessing attractions, but an invitation to move around and discover the territory as a whole,” said Artelio. “Our goal is to create a tourism model capable of generating widespread value, encouraging visitors to explore lesser-known places and contributing to a better distribution of tourist flows throughout the area.”
“This is the first step in a partnership with DVG that we hope will continue to grow,” added Bettarello. “The objective is to combine resources and expertise in order to offer visitors increasingly comprehensive and integrated tourism products.”
For De Beni, “this represents an additional opportunity both for our guests and for the territory itself, which will gain greater visibility. We will ensure the widest possible promotion of the card among our more than 400 associated tourism businesses. Furthermore, the Guest Card will also be integrated into our new app dedicated to services available on Lake Garda.”
“With this tool,” Russo added, “we will be able to promote the various destinations in a more integrated way, improving the distribution of visitor flows and benefiting tourists staying in Verona as well.”
